
ISLAMABAD, March 8: Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday praised Pakistan’s security forces after 13 militants associated with the India-backed group Fitna al Khwarij were killed during separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement issued by the President Secretariat’s Media Wing, the operations took place in several districts of the province, including Bajaur, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber and South Waziristan.
President Zardari appreciated the professionalism and determination shown by the security personnel involved in the operations.
The president said that continuing operations against the India-backed Fitna al Khwarij terrorists remains important for ensuring peace and stability in the country.
